We invite you to our annual symposium on 20th April 2018 at GIZEF in Freiberg / Germany.

Thematically, our event focuses on the interconnection of geo-scientific themes with
modern data processing:

  • Mineral predictive mapping – from intuition to hybrid 3D modelling,
  • New version of the geological 3D model of the Erzgebirge,
  • News regarding the advangeo® Prediction Software: Application of random forests
    for the compilation of high-resolution soil maps,
  • advangeo® Prediction Software to analyse the vulnerability of infrastructure:
    Prediction of landslides along the German railway network,
  • Beak is involved in EU-research projects to develop advanced exploration technologies:
    MAP / LIGHTS / NEXT,
  • Species protection and environmental management – a “tough problem” in approval procedures,
  • advangeo® Geodata Database: The new web-based information system of the Independent
    Commission for Mines and Minerals of Kosovo,
  • advangeo® Field Cap: Digital data capture in the field.

This year, our guest speaker is Prof Dr Klaus Stanek (TU Bergakademie Freiberg):

  • News about absolute age dating of rocks from the Erzgebirge.
