  Coal fire prediction

Coal fires are highly dangerous natural and anthropogenic hazards. Besides causing substantial environmental damage, they also destroy important coal resources and adversely impact the affected land. The prediction of areas that are prone to coal fires will contribute considerably to their mitigation and to the implementation of sound land management practices.
