30 September - 01 October 2010, Colloquium “15 Jahre Bodenmonitoring in Sachsen” / “15 Years of Soil Monitoring in Saxony”, Dresden (Germany)

The objective of the Colloquium, organized by the Saxon State Office for Environment, Agriculture and Geology (LfULG), was to present the results and experiences from 15 years of soil monitoring in Saxony as well as results from other states, the German federal government and foreign countries.
More than 80 delegates and 17 speakers from all over Germany and Switzerland participated in this Colloquium. It was an excellent opportunity for cross-border professional exchange of experiences and ideas and discussions concerning soil monitoring, data interpretation and modeling.

Mr Andreas Knobloch, from Beak Consultants GmbH , presented the methodology and results of using artificial neural network and GIS technologies with advangeo® for the regionalization of soil parameters such as soil moisture, humus content and TOC from the available point measurements.
