22nd Beak Symposium

On 15th April 2016, the 22nd Beak Symposium will take place in Freiberg. The topics are:

  • Neotectonics in the Ore Mountains (Erzgebirge),
  • Geology and minerals of Ghana,
  • Water issues in the post-mining landscape,
  • Traffic emission and nature conservation information systems in Saxony,
  • E-commerce for factual geodata,
  • Information about ArcGIS platform and
  • Application of the advangeo® Prediction Software for mineral reserve prognosis and for chronological and spatial prognosis of soil liquefaction in lignite dumps.

Guest speakers are Prof Klaus Stanek (TU Bergakademie Freiberg), Dr Daniel Boamah (Geological Survey Department, Ghana), and Mr Jens Leibiger (Esri Deutschland GmbH).
