Beak attends the ICC (26th International Cartographic Conference)

25th – 30th August 2013, Dresden (Germany)

From 25th up to 30th August 2013, the 26th International Cartographic Conference (ICC) will be held in the congress centre in Dresden. It will bring together cartographers and geoinformation specialists from across the globe. At the same time, from 28th up to 30th August 2013, the 61st German Cartographic Conference (Deutscher Kartographentag) will be held in the Dresden congress centre, as well.

At the ICC, you can meet Ms Anja Hempel (Graduated Engineer for Cartography) and Silke Noack (Graduated Engineer for Geodesy) at our booth A18.

Beak will present two posters during the poster session on 28th August 2013 between 12:15 p.m. and 12:45 p.m.:

  • „Artificial Neural Networks in Geosciences – Possibilities for Predictive Mapping“

In addition, the Technische Universität Dresden und Beak Consultants GmbH kindly invite all interested citizen to a public event on Wednesday, 28th August 2013, at 7:30 p.m. in the Maritim Hotel in Dresden to the so-called "Science–Cafè" with the topic: „The Map as Crystal Ball: How Modern GIS-Applications Can Predict Mineral Resources, Geohazards and Distribution of Pests.“ During the evening, Bernd Torchala and Silke Noack from Beak Consultants GmbH will present methods for prediction of spatial distributed events or phenomena by using artificial intelligence.
