In the frame of a World Bank-funded project, Beak completed mineral predictive mapping (MPM) in 2018 in selected target areas of the DR Congo using a hybrid approach: combination of knowledge-driven exploration models and data-driven artificial neural networks (ANN). The investigation covered areas in Katanga Sud, Katanga Nord, Katanga Sakania and Equateur Quest. The results are available with the PROMINES project (www.prominesrdc.cd) in Kinshasa.
